Kung-Fu Panda (2008)
Melbourne museum is about 15 minutes by foot from where I am staying. In the same building there is an iMAX cinema. Imax is a special technology for showing films. It has a clearer image than normal cinema projections and the screen is bigger (it's huge!). The screen size is designed to fill in the whole human vision field. The sound is also really good, not that I care to go into the technicality of that.
So last night I viewed this cartoon there about this panda that wants to be a kung-fu fighter (and oddly enough that actually happens!). I was expecting a more funnier flick. The humour was mostly physical, revolving around the clumsiness and silliness of the overweight panda (vocalized by Jack Black). I felt as they could have been more imaginative in the humour element. Besides this it was rather enjoyable (I would probably have been bored watching it in a 14" tv), exceptionally well made and has a nice message.
I can't wait to see a really cool movie in that cinema. The Dark Knight will be showing there on the 17th of july! I am so going to see that.
