The Wackness

Spent my afternoon in Lygon Street, in the so-called Lygon Street Festa. Its some kind of Italian festival. I saw a guy cooking on a stage (exciting!) and some kids dance hip hop (hip hop being of course one of italy's most famous exports!), which was a bit cool. Taste buds were assaulted with belgian hot chocolate in Koko Black before I went to CinemaNova to see the film The Wackness.

I was blown away by this film. Extremely watchable film with great performances from Ben Kingsley and newcomer Josh Peck. The dialogue is absolutely hilarious but the film also has very strong emotional moments. The music, the atmosphere, the cinamatography, it all adds to a very wonderful cinematic experience. Highly, highly recommended.
