Some movies

Just watched Superbad for the second time. This is one great movie, so entertaining and funny. While it certainly has some course language (most of which is hilariously written), it also has this sweet undertone of real friendship.

Today I also watched 30 days of night with Josh Hartnett. Truly a very messy film, probably one of the messier I've seen. For a brain-dead vampire slasher I thought it wasn't that bad. But i'm not a big fan of slasher movies, i like horror films with more subtle horror themes. But I guess this one had most of what a slasher movie should have.

The other day I saw the flick Hancock with Will Smith and Charlize Theron. The first half was pretty entertaining but it got a bit too silly after that and in my view took, it took itself too seriously.

Mongol is a film I saw the other day at the cinema and thought it was very good. I had no idea it was portraying a real historical character, Genghis Khan until after the movie. But it didn't really matter cause the film is very powerful, beautiful and has some incredible fight scenes. Its like an asian version of Braveheart, put simplisticly.

Finally, I watched Gone baby gone. Its very watchable, has some nice performances although I wasn't quite convinced by Casey Affleck. But I liked the ethical underpinnings it had and that it showed nicely that in some cases, there is no "right" path. Pretty decent.
